Unmourned

The city sleeps—

Above,

stars are born.

Die.

Love and stars,

die alone…

unmourned.

  1. Lovely watercolor. In reply to another post about death, someone said we should not mourn…
But celebrate life. I remember living in the city and not being able to see stars…
And then I think of that animated movie… “Fievel” (the first one) and the song that we are all under the same moon – something like that.

    1. Thanks, Jules. 🙂
Growing up, I lived out in the country and could see the stars twinkling on a black velvet sky. Now, living in the city, I see just a few stars. But there’s always the moon…💕

      1. One September I was in Up-State New York and saw in all its glory the ‘Milky Way’. I could have looked at it for a very long time… I made sure to imprint it on my memory so I can close my eyes and get lost in the stars 🙂
